Customs Bonded Warehousing is a facility granted by customs to traders according the provisions of common customs law, that allows them to defer the payment of duty on goods they import into the facility for storage until it leaves the facility either for home consumption or for export. The facility is granted only to companies who meet the criteria set by customs and after signing a formal agreement with customs that will lay down the terms and conditions for the operation of the facility.

Traders who wish to avail the facility may apply for it by filling theAPPLICATION FOR CUSTOMS BONDED WAREHOUSE and follow it up with:

Submission of the print out of the application form duly singed by the authorized signatory.

A payment of Dhs.25,000 as the annual license fee.

Copy of the Bank Guarantee lodged with customs as collateral against the trader's credit or standing guarantee account, if any.

Copy of the trade license.

Copy of the Insurance policy.

Details of security measures (security of premises and documents)

Ownership/lease verification certificate.

Warehouse plan.

List of commodities to be stored in the facility.
