Shipping agents are agents who are by virtue of their license permitted to conduct shipping activities.  Shipping Agents who interact with Dubai Customs are, as a prerequisite required to obtain a Shipping Agent Code before they are permitted to represent their clients or act on their behalf.

The conditions and requirements to obtain an SHIPPING AGENT CODE.

Must hold a valid   license issued by Dubai Economic Department. The agent shall be permitted to conduct the activities of the shipping agents including issuing Delivery Orders.

Fill the APPLICATION FOR SHIPPING AGENT CODE FORM and submit it electronically and follow it up with:

A payment of Dhs.100.00 as Shipping Agent  Code Fee

Submission of the application form duly signed and stamped by the authorized person of the company.

Submission of a copy of the valid trade license

Presenting  the original License (will be returned after verification)

At the centre selected as the document submission office while submitting the application, within two days from the date of submission failing which the form shall become invalid. See contact information for the contact addresses of the document submission centres.
